Coaching Objective
Our objective is to develop and empower our clients to be independent….to
show our clients how to explore and find the answers to their questions
from within themselves…..when you know how, you are your own
best coach.
'Doing' Coaching
This approach encourages our clients to take the steps
required to achieve their desired results. Guiding and supporting
our clients to achieve their goals are the easiest and most obvious
skills a coach brings to the client. Yes, they are important because
clients usually bring specific goals to a coaching session. However,
this is often as far as most coaches go, and it effectively serves
thousands of clients in keeping them in action, making conscious
choices, and moving forward.
We are happy to assist our clients with 'Doing' coaching
but would prefer to concentrate on 'Being' coaching as the first
step.
'Being' Coaching
This approach is complimentary to 'Doing' and is concerned
with assisting our clients to align their way of living and working
with their core values and life purpose while honouring and acknowledging
our client's process.
'Being' coaching supports our clients to be in process
all the time – that is, our clients are supported to be present,
here and now. The focus is on both the journey and the result. As
a coach we assist our clients to maintain the awareness of 'who
they are being' in alignment with their core values when making
decisions and taking action.
Happiness is not realized in material possessions
but in living (being) passionately in accordance with our core values.
When we do that we can be happy and fulfilled every day, and we
can easily and effortlessly take the steps to acquire the materials
possessions we desire.
Knowing and embracing your personal core values can:
- Clarify what you want and guide you in how
you wish to behave – they are directly relevant to your personal
authenticity;
- Guide you to make the conscious choices that are right for
you – what your priorities are and how you choose to spend
your time and energy for maximum benefit;
- Ignite the passion within you – it is the true source
of your energy;
- Help you deal with every day problems and minimise conflict
by guiding you in what is right for you;
- Add clarity for your career – the right career in
the right organisation;
- Assist you to understand and express your feelings and become
a better communicator in all your business relationships;
- Achieve a fulfilment and happiness that is real and lasting
- your identity, self-esteem, self-confidence, and sense of security
will be strengthened; and,
- Assist you to take charge of your life, take greater self
responsibility and enhance your ability to lead a successful team.
Coach – Client Relationship
The relationship between Coach and Client is critical to the success of a coaching session and defines the uniqueness of Emergent Insights transformational approach. It is essential that coach and client fulfil their responsibilities.
Coach Responsibilities
- Assist the client to determine and maintain awareness of their
core values;
- Establish and maintain a safe space for the client to explore
themselves as the best source for all their answers;
- Be unconditionally constructive and supportive at all times;
and,
- Remind the client of their commitments to themselves.
Client Responsibilities
- Be totally honest;
- Be on time and be present;
- Come to each session prepared to set the agenda for the outcome
you would like to achieve; and,
- Honour your commitments to yourself.
