In the 'Silver Sparrow Art of War,' discovered in 1972, Sun Tzu
states 'knowing others and knowing yourself, victory will not be
imperilled; by knowing the ground and knowing the climate, victory
can be complete.'
Do you have a comprehensive map of the environment, both objective
and subjective, that you work in? Does it include your own limitations
of perception? Can it bring all the pieces of information together
into a meaningful whole? Does it enable your team and organisation
to adapt to change and stay on top of what is really going on?
Using an Integral Operating System can do this. An Integral Operating
System provides a comprehensive map of reality and a framework for
thinking and planning for growth. Its benefits are continually being
chartered, its ease of use is deceptive at first, and its value
for whatever endeavour you're engaged in, is waiting to yield to
the smallest of efforts.
Integral Operating Systems
Ken Wilber's Integral theory, among others, consist of several
core organising concepts and principles. These 'meta-level' thinking
tools can be applied to any human situation, to prompt a deeper,
wider, more precise and integrative understanding, analysis and
designs of approach. Whether looking at personal experience, group
dynamics, through to organisational strategy in a global context,
these Integral insights, or an Integral Operating System, deliver
the best of the old and the new of human understanding, from both
east and west, north and south.
The Workshop
The Integral Operating System workshop provides an introduction
to Integral theory and how it can be immediately and easily applied
to assist strategic thinking, planning and implementation activities.
The workshop covers:
- An understanding of the evolution of human thinking styles and
capacities up to the current leading edge, 'integral,' exampled
where appropriate, in relationship to the development of your field
of interest;
- An overview of Ken Wilber's Integral Operating System, that can
be used immediately to frame approaches to any situation;
- Information on practical case studies on the application of Integral
Operating Systems to real world problems, selected to speak to your
organisation's context;
- A powerful, yet exceedingly simple method for applying an Integral
Operating System to your particular situation; and,
- The language for more insightful, robust, and inclusive strategic
conversations within your organisation.
The Presenter
Chris Stewart has spent the past ten years researching and writing
about integral approaches to real world problems, organisational
practices, and strategic planning processes and methods. During
this time, Chris has provided Integrally informed analyses of a
variety of subjects and organisations, particularly within the context
of strategic foresight.
