Project Management

Leadership, team development and communication consistently top the list of knowledge, skills and personal attributes considered necessary to achieve successful project outcomes. These 'soft' skills have in the past been difficult to teach and learn. An Integral approach to project management provides the framework and approach to ensure that the 'soft' skills are balanced with the more traditional technical skills.

An Integral approach to project management provides:

  • A better understanding of all of the essential elements for project success;
  • An approach to ensure that integration of the essential elements is achieved;
  • A method to assess and develop competency in the management of 'soft' project issues; and,
  • A framework for project leadership, team development and effective communication in the project environment.

An introduction to the application of an Integral approach is the focus of an Emergent Insights one day Integral Project Management Workshop. An introductory background article on the topic is available here.

For more detailed information on the application of Integral approaches and models to projects and teams see the Emotionally Intelligent Team Workshop and Strategic Team Management sections of this site.
